Description: Guest book description: 'a feast for the senses'! Intimately explore cowboy country with a visit to The Bunkhouse Bed and Breakfast. Experience this uniquely western accommodation as a bed and breakfast alternative to the dude ranch vacation. The 47 acres of naturally landscaped grounds frame the log buildings that inside perpetuate the romance of the west. The main house and bunkhouse have been featured in Montana Living, Log Home Living and Cowboys & Country magazines. The log cabin sleeps 4 in one double bed and one twin size bunk bed. Freshen up in a modern washroom. A travel book, 'Off the Beaten Path - a guide to unique places,' states: 'You'd be hard pressed to find a prettier and more isolated piece of overnighting property anywhere.'
Begin the day under the Big Sky with a hearty home cooked meal served creekside in the sun room or dining room. Fresh strawberries and raspberries from the garden are presented in a number of breakfast delights. Enjoy the flexibility to plan the rest of your day, challenge yourself against the trout of Bridger Creek, bike, hike, view countless species of birds and wildlife, head out to discover the sites and fine dining of the area or picnic at the table (basic meal preparation facilities, dishes and utensils are provided in the bunkhouse itself), barbecue up dinner in the pit and sit by an enchanting campfire under the star filled heavens.
Late summer, early fall offer a good possibility of viewing black bears feasting on the chokecherry bushes of the surrounding countryside. We thoroughly recommend you take advantage of the exceptionally scenic opportunity to experience a part of the old west by horseback riding at the neighboring Range Riders Ranch - a 4th generation 11,000 acre working ranch. We work in conjunction with this ranch and can make early reservations for our guests. Upon your departure head south on Bridger Creek Road and follow one of the most scenic back road trips you will ever encounter. You will be greeted by the Stillwater River Valley, the historical western town of Red Lodge (one and a half hours away), spectacular Beartooth Pass and incredible Yellowstone Park. For further information call (406) 932-6537 or www.bunkhouse.biz.
Directions: The Bunkhouse Bed and Breakfast is located in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains between Big Timber and Reed Point and one hours drive from Billings Logan Airport. The easily accessible homestead is privately located 3.6 miles south of Interstate 90 on scenic Bridger Creek Road (Exit 384) an area rich in history that was once Crow Indian Reservation and a route for travelers heading west on the Bozeman Trail.
